Everyone's Nan has a different take on this classic Aussie favourite, this one is a cracker. Be careful not to over bake them, as it is very easy to do.
1 cup plain flour
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup shredded or desiccated coconut
3/4 cup raw brown sugar
1 lemon zest
125 g Nuttelex
2 tbsp golden syryp
2 tbsp water
1/2 tsp bicarb soda
1Mix the flour, rolled oats, coconut, brown sugar and lemon zest in a medium bowl.
2In a small saucepan melt Nuttelex with golden syrup and water. Once melted bring to a simmer then and bi carb soda.
3Add all ingredients together.
4Roll into balls about 2cm around and place on a lined baking tray. Bake at 160°C for 16 mins.
