Chocolate Brownies (Dairy Free)

These rich, chocolatey Brownies taste sublime and are #DairyFree. Note: You'll find dairy free vegan chocolate at Cruelty Free stores.


1 kg dairy free vegan dark chocolate

300 g plant based Nuttelex (chopped)

5 eggs - beaten or egg replacer

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 tbsp cocoa powder

1 cup plain flour

pinch of salt


1Pre-heat the oven 180°C

2Line a small (15cm x 26cm) brownie tray with silicone paper

3In a large stainless steel bowl, place the chocolate and Nuttelex together.

4Place the bowl over a sauce pan of warm water. Leave to melt stirring occasionally to mix together.

5Make sure the eggs are beaten well in a separate container.

6Sieve all the dry ingredients (cocoa powder, plain flour and salt) together & keep separate.

7Once the chocolate & Nuttelex have melted, add the beaten eggs.

8Mix the eggs really well before folding in the flour.

9Fold in the flour. Keep folding until the mixture is smooth.

10Pour the brownie mix into the lined brownie pan making sure the top is levelled evenly.

11Bake for 10-15 minutes.

12Cool down completely before removing from the pan and cutting.

13Dust with non-dissolving cocoa powder.

14Do not refrigerate the brownies. Keep in a airtight container.
